Re: tiger vs crocodile kumite video
I think that tiger was lucky (or maybe skilled). One thing's for sure.. If that croc ever got his jaws on the tiger, it's goodbye kitty.

Re: tiger vs crocodile kumite video
The most amazing video I ever saw was two giant amazonian river otters (very rare animal, about 6ft long) taking a full grown Amazonian alligator. Natives had told researchets that the otters fed on the tails of alligators, but no one believed them until they managed to capture it on film. Truly amazing.
The otters danced around the alligators lounges. You could see the advantage of the mammalian reaction time vs. that of the reptile. The otters were trying to clamp onto the back of the alligator. Once the once of them succeeded the alligator went docile. The otters then proceeded to eat the alligator's tail. The croc was still alive, but seemed oblivious to any pain. My guess is that it is either tired out, or the otter's bite has hit some nerve junction (with endorphine release or something like that). These tail-less alligator can't swim anymore. At best they lie and wait for prey at the bends of rivers. I wish I could find a copy of that video... |
