In hand one you need to bet that turn. Unless he has a queen youve got him beaten about 90% of the time. If hes got you beaten youll hear about it soon enough. Also, on the flop bet the whole pot not just half. Youre trying to win it right now not build a bigger pot. One more thing, when you check the turn you're just asking him to bet back into you. You may as well bet and see where you stand. (basically if he reraises you probably have to fold unless you know hes capable of a bluff raise).

In hand two MP1 has probably got a straight. Hes trying to push you off your hand. Youll win this 90% of the time. When he makes his first bet you should be thinking of how to get all in which happened so no problems there. (but im almost sure hes got a straight, if he has a seven, chalk it up to bad luck).

On the second hand I'm almost positive he DOES have the 7 (probably A7), but that's what you want him to have. Full house beats 777A6

I dont know anything about the player, but with a straight on board i cant see the villian reraising with trips when if he gets called he knows hes going to lose. Im sticking with straight.

By the way, on the first reply i was thinking 76s not a hand like A7. Im assuming villian is not an idiot (maybe he is).

thanks for everyones help...

two things:
First I didn't reraise preflop in the first hand. Did you mean it was a questionable raise?

Also I know it was probably a weak call on the flop in hand two which but I guess I justified it because I had the open-ended straight draw. Does this turn the call into a correct one or as I assumed was it wrong to call their?

On hand #2 you're getting correct odds to call (with implied odds).

On the contrary. I raise the flop.
