Default TorrentSpy

I know some people use this to download poker videos, but I have no idea why I can't do it. I am using Azureus, and I can get the torrent and then get it in the interface, but it won't start. Does Windows firewall screw it up? Their forums are pretty much useless.

Get BitTorrent instead of Azareus first. Then just install BitTorrent, it kind of runs in the background, not like Kazaa or something. Then go to TorrentSpy and find the thing you want. Then when you go the details page for a file and it has the big button that says "Download Now" and it wants you to click there. Dont click there. Instead right click there and choose save target as. Then minimize IE and find the file you just saved and double click on it. Then it asks you where you want to save your file and pick a folder.

I did all that, but it doesn't start downloading! I have no idea what is going. I am on one of the fastest commercial connections in the country, so it's not that. It just stays at 0.

What are you trying to download? If it is something really old there might not be any seeders.

Sometimes it takes awhile for the download to start. What is the seeder/downloader ratio? Even if there are 300 seeders, if there are 1200 downloaders it will take forever. Plus, a lot of the seeders could be scumbags who set their upload rate at 5 kb/sec or something.

I let it go for about 10 minutes. I dunno if that is good enough. It was telling me I was unable to connect to sharers or some crap like that in Azureus. I am not sure what is wrong, as everyone else seems to pick it up just fine.

open up ports 6981-6999 in any firewall and/or router you have and you should be good to go.

On my cable connection I can see speeds up to 250 KB/S
