Default Slow Play ok on turn

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (8 handed)

This was a very shy table. Been there about one orbit. Any resistance (like a raise) and people folded. I check/called the turn with a made flush to try to induce someone to get a brave with anything and collect the extra bets on river. Was this a bad play?

I think you should either bet or c/r the turn.

I need a little more explanation.
My rationale was that, as skittish as thery were, if I bet the turn only one would call and then maybe call a bet on the river.

So I would get 2 BBs maybe.
By check/calling and the check raising I got 4 bets.
That was my thinking and if I was wrong I want to correct my thinking.

TIA

ALthough I don't believe you lost money playing it this way this time, I think you will miss many bets playing this way in the future. You're risking a lot on the turn by checking. There's only one person to act after you, and he's as likely to check as bet. Think about it, what can he have that will make him want to bet with 3 diamonds on the board? Especially when you say the table is "shy". Bet out on the turn and river, it'll make you more money in the long run.

Bet the turn, regardless of table actions.

I would strongly consider slow playing this if you are looking for the least profitable line possible given the strength of this hand.

I can't believe you checked that with one person left to act. You are very lucky he bet that for you.
