Steal attempt from button...Bad Play?
Party $10 MTT. Blinds 25/50. 15min before first break.SB t4000, CO t4500, Button (hero)t900.10 minutes earlier i was down to t105.Table is loose aggr.Whole time i was showing the nuts or premium starting hands when i lost.CO was calling all preflop raises and playing all hands to the turn before folding. It folds to CO he just calls.I have J8o and raise to 200,SB calls,BBfolds, CO calls. Flop 9h,10x,Ah. SB bets50, CO calls, I raise 100. Both call.Turn Qc.SB bets 300,CO calls, I go all in, SB calls CO folds. SB shows Q9o. SB gave me a hard time for raising with J8o and said it was ok for him to call because he was a blind.Ignoring results was my preflop play ok and should i have pushed on the flop instead of turn?

Re: Steal attempt from button...Bad Play?
Looks like you didn't have many chips left after your PF raise anyway. I suppose if you were going to try a move it would've been much more effective on the flop, and you had a number of outs if called.

Re: Steal attempt from button...Bad Play?
If CO is going to call anyraise, this is probably a bad time to steal.
Why the minraise on the flop. I think that is probably the worst option. I would push this flop. If you can't bring your self to push the flop, just call the min-bet. |

Re: Steal attempt from button...Bad Play?
First of all, use bisonbison's hand converter here
Second, why are you raising here preflop? I don't like it much. You have very active limper, who was calling all raises and SB with a ton of chips who is calling alot. Get these guys with premium hands, not J8o. Now that you're in this spot, play the flop for all of your chips if you're going to raise, otherwise, you should just call. Gavin |
