can someone explain to me why david lynch deserves to be on this list? i've never understood why people liked his work.

i asked someone why they liked his movies and they said "because i've seen it 35 times and every time i watch it, it still makes no sense" refering to Lost Highway.

I've got some friends that think David Lynch is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Near as I can tell, it's because his movies are like Jackson Pollock paintings. They're not really about anything and they're basically just two hours of emotion put to film. Some people dig that.

Personally, I think it's crap.

Oh, and this poll is invalid for not having Kirosawa and Wes Anderson on it.
