Default Fake ID - friend busted (sort of maybe?)

A few friends and I went to the borg last night and one of them was ID'd. He had what looked like a real ID with working holograms, but wasn't scannable or anything. It was also some random "Identification Card" thing from Sasketchawan.

Anyways, he looked at it and said "I don't know if I can accept this, is it government issued?" to which my friend replied it was province issued. The guy went back to ask someone else, so my friend just left.

Was it stupid for my friend to try to show this ID? Should he have stayed?

it was stupid to show. it was really intelligent to leave.

just go to the borg and if they card you say you left it in your car, then go home. at least that way you wont be in trouble with the law. if you bring a fake id into the matter its a felony and youre pwned.

While it sucks saying this. Don't go to the borgata underage. They're pretty strict with carding people. Stick to most of the boardwalk casinos, I'm not exactly sure they know HOW to ID people.

Last time I went to the Taj I was by far the youngest looking person at the table. The other players were joking about it and saying I was no older than 15 (I am 21). One of the players took the joke as far as to point me out to one of the pokerroom managers and saying "look at that kid! you gotta ID him!" The manager just chuckled and walked away.

If your underaged, go to the Taj.

I look young and the Borgata IDs me once in a blue moon, even by a floor person who sees me there regularly (I was wearing a hat and I usually don't, so I may have looked different). But the dealer said that she she recognizes me as being a regular. I know being a regular doesn't mean being legal, but...

Yes, but the two can easily get confused.

Strangely enough I have been carded twice in AC, but never in a poker room. Once at the Trop on my way out of the door (explain that if you want) and once in Harrahs taking my girlfriend to sign up a WSOP circuit event.

Well if you show an ID from a place that doesn't actually exist, what do you expect?
