Stop\'n go with overpair HU
Haven't played that many hands with villain, but he seems loose and reasonably passive.
I was planning a check/raise on a safe turn card, but figured the turn card was as much a scarecard for my opponent as it was for me. Not sure if my line here makes sense. Should I just get my bets in while I can? Re: Stop\'n go with overpair HU
Normally I would 3-bet the flop. You don't know if he intends to bet the turn and the passive read certainly adds to that worry. Note the potential OESD for the free card play.

I would also just 3-bet the flop here.

Re: Stop\'n go with overpair HU
The problem with check raising a non scare turn card is that if you count all the overs there are too many scary turn cards. I'd say you're better off 3-betting the flop and going from there.
As you played it I don't think this is a horrible time for a stop and go, but a c/r could still be considered. |
