Default Kk fights back against aggression... then slows down :)

Villian is typical nothing out of line from what I've seen.

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, Hero raises, 2 folds, BB calls, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, BB calls, UTG+1 raises, Hero calls, BB folds.

Turn: (5.75 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG+1 bets, Hero raises, UTG+1 calls.

River: (9.75 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: 9.75 BB

Thoughts on this hand? Did I miss bets, save bets?

I like 3-betting the flop, calling down if he caps and leads. If he calls my 3-bet and checks to me, I'll bet. If he calls my 3-bet and bets, I'll probably get confused and call down.

Agreed. I like the idea of 3-betting this flop to find out where you are since you're either way ahead or way behind.

Yeah I felt I was WA/WB. I tried to trap BB for another bet, (dead money), so I decided to wait and raise the turn.

I thought raising would do two things for me. Get a free showdown because A) Trip Js would fear a flush B) A flush would fear a boat C) He might try to get fancy and check/raise the river.

I'm thinking my thought process was retarded. If I raise the turn what happens if I get 3 bet? Now I'll still have to call because I have a flush draw now. So in retrospect I agree with the first two posters about 3 betting the flop is better than waiting till the turn.

Lesson learned...

I think you need to 3-bet this flop. If he caps, call down unless you improve.

On the turn, the raise is ok how you played it.

I'd bet the river unless he's really tricky.

I would 3-bet the flop. If he caps, I think I would be in check/call mode (is that too weak?). If he calls the 3-bet on the flop and bets the turn, I'm not sure what I would do (call or raise again).

If he checks the turn, I would bet. Is that just asking for a 3-bet, or is it a good bet?

If you didn't pick up the flush draw on the turn, I'd say you played it perfectly. You could safely fold to a 3-bet without the flush draw. I like your line of thinking better than the "3-bet the flop to find out where you're at" crowd though.

I hate when this happens. It kind of makes your head hurt.

I don't think not betting the flop is an option, and I don't think you can fold to the flop checkraise either.
I would just call the turn. I definitely wouldn't raise again.
