Default ITM w/ 99 against min-raise

This is a $22 - the guy to my left is tight as a rock, so I'm confident I can outlast him. Do I push back? Button has been stealing all-in, so I guess I have to take the min-raise as a monster or a really weak hand.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (3 handed) converter

Hero (t2130)
BB (t1680)
Button (t4190)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
Button raises to t800, Hero..

Problem with trying to outlast the third one is that you will have left yourself in a position that makes 1st very unlikely.

I would push this one without a very clear read that he has a premium hand (ie played with him before enough). Even if he wants you to push it doesn't mean 99 won't be a good hand here.

If this isn't an easy push, someone please straighten me out.

Yeah, I guess it was more of a sanity check. I pushed without thinking twice and got beat by some [censored] hand.

Is it a call if he pushed instead of min-raised?

For me it is (for the simple reason that both a minraise and a push can be interpreted either way at this stage).

In this specific case, I would feel obligated to value call my nuts (just saw that video ... how funny is that???!!!)

In all seriousness, I'm pushing in this case ... and I probably would call an all-in push by villain, too.

Yep. 99 is a damn good hand here. Your lead over 3rd place is nothing big enough to worry about waiting for him to bust.

Did you consider a stop and go?

Stop and go would just be wrong here. You're still behind whatever hands you were behind preflop and now a whole slew of other hands that villain could have hit on the flop. Any over card could pair him, any 2 cards could give him two pair etc.

This is an easy push.
