Default Folding KK?

Reads: BB is a solid player, SB is a fish.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#666666">6 folds</font>, SB calls, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (12 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, SB calls, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, SB calls, BB calls.

Turn: (12 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>

Ugh. Do you think BB has a read of you being a good player? His turn raise seems to be better than something like AQs. SB's turn bet doesn't mean much, but given the action so far, AA and QQ have to be very real possibilities for the BB.

I don't know what I would do here, I want to call down, but if SB 3-bets and BB caps, it's probably time to let it go.

Yeah. QQ and AA are very likely hands for BB, though AQ overplayed might be possible.

And a passive player betting out on the turn after the flop was capped is probably cause for even more concern.

I think you're screwed, but folding overpairs sucks hard.

If BB is solid, the only hands with which he's 3-betting an UTG raise *and* that you are ahead of are TT, JJ, AKo/s, and AQs. I think that the post-flop action eliminates AK, JJ and TT, and AQs was kind of a stretch to begin with.

SB has done nothing but call, and he suddenly wakes up on the turn? That makes me wonder if he didn't go along for the ride with 88 or Q8s or something equally ridiculous.

6:1 and not closing the action, not heads up, hoping BB is overplaying the one hand you can beat? In the heat of battle I may not fold, but I think that most of the time I'll wish I had.

I agree wholeheartedly. As the hand is going on, I'd probably just call down to find out what I had in mind anyway, either AA or a set of Queens. I dunno, reading it, folding looks like your best bet, but in teh run of play calling down would be best

In the heat of the battle, I closed my eyes and called his raise, just to find myself folding for a 3-bet and cap...

I don't think this is all that difficult a fold. You've flagged your hand plenty and he's still going nuts. If he wants to play this way with AQ, well, more power to him. The best hope you have frankly is that he has the other KK, and I don't think that's enough to warrant calling down. There's also some chance that SB has you beat; he's withstood a lot of action.

I fold and don't think twice. BB isn't likely to be going this crazy with AQ and SB probably has some dumb two pair hand that makes yours third best with two outs.

Dude, solid players don't go ape-[censored] with TPTK when you've represented your hand as you have. Fold.
