![]() The table is mostly loosepassiv, but nearly everyone freaks out from time to time overplaying weak holdings. I got reraised allin preflop against villian #1, showing me K2, earlier. Both Villians are beyond clueless, they actually thinks that they are good. Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed) converter SB ($26.55) BB ($26.35) Hero ($24.65) UTG+1 ($27.8) MP1 ($12.15) MP2 ($6.35) CO ($32.2) Button ($28.85) Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero calls $0.25, Villian#1 calls $0.25, 2 folds, CO calls $0.25, Villian#2 calls $0.25, 1 fold, BB checks. Flop: ($1.35) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players) BB checks, Hero bets $1, Villian#1 calls $1, CO calls $1, Villian#2 calls $1, BB folds. Turn: ($5.35) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero bets $4, Villian#1 calls $4, CO folds, Villian#2 raises to $15, Hero raises to $23.4 (All-In), Villian#1 calls $19.40, Villian#2 calls $8.40. Did I play this okay? I figured since they behave like this from time to time im prabably ahead before the river. One of them could have hit a straight but I wont give them credit for anything. Should I bet more on the flop? I didnt want to lose them. |

i like it. if they're that bad you're probably ahead and when you're not you have outs to a flush or full that should be good. i don't know anything though.
a4s seems like an odd hand to be playing utg, what was your strategy? if i may ask. |

Play of the hand is fine. In a loose-passive game you can go ahead and play Axs since passive players are less likely to raise but plently likely to put lots of dead money into a pot you want to be building with this sort of hand.
Against bad opponents Aces up are probably going to be good a fair percentage of the time. At least one of those two opponents is probably on a lower flush draw and drawing dead. Even if you're against a made straight you have 9 outs to the nut flush and boat outs. That hand plays out that way every time and you're making a ton of money in the long run. |

a4s seems like an odd hand to be playing utg, what was your strategy? if i may ask. [/ QUOTE ] Preflop: I like playing AXs and pockets out of position. At this table I prefered drawing hands because it was loose/passiv. To be in the blinds or the UTG position is best when you want to build a pot I think. Because you got good relative position to get cold money in the pot and checkraise options. Postflop: Well from here I was hoping that they ONLY would call my raises (like they often do). But on the turn, a 4 which gave ME 2par, they freaked out. I felt it most be somekind of slowplay, but they sucked so it might aswell be a slowplay of Ax or 2 par (not topptwo, i think they would have raised with any ACE-k/Q/j hand). Or it could be a stonecold bluff!! Results: Villian 1 had: 77 and villian 2 KQ |
