Default Trying to get a new computer Dell 9300

I am looking for a new laptop and everybody here who has a Dell 9300 seems to love it. I want to keep the price down below $1500. Also can somebody help me determine if this is the best configuration for 4 tableing, monitor attatchment capabilities, and overall powerhouse computer.

I have the following questions:

Is Windows XP Professional any better than home addition? I'll be using my computer for personal use only.

How much memory should I have? Should I get my memory from somebody besides Dell?

What about the Video card. Is the Radeon x300 with 64MB good enough?

Also if there is any way to get these computers cheap I am all for it.

Thanks in advance.

search for it on ebay. youll get it for much cheaper off reliable sellers. 64mb is enough to 4table. just make sure that you get the wuxga.

Windows XP Pro I don't think is any better for personal use.

You should get your memory from somewhere else, Dell tends to overcharge for it.

Dell is currently/or was having a sale on laptops (or coupons). Others will know better.

FYI a base 9300 with the cheapest components and only the screen upgrade retails for $1,724 before coupons / discounts.

If that's true then the post regarding better deals on ebay is correct. I suspect the deals will be comparable once you apply the various coupons Dell always has circulating.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I recently ordered (but have not yet received) a 9300.

I made a few upgrades over the basic model (monitor, hard drive, memory, XP Pro, and a software package) and after coupons/discounts etc. it was under $1400.
