Note: I'm no sage at poker.

This guy's action all the way screams KK or AA to me. If he thought you only had overcards on the flop, I think he would put in a more substantial raise than he did. He also knows there's another guy in the pot with you and would have to be pretty sure he's going to fold if he is indeed bluffing. Personally, I let this one go.

I'm interested in seeing what other's think about this.

This is all very disturbing. I like the flop bet. After his minraise, I fold.

I played a SNG against the villain in this hand yesterday. He is definitely a maniac--he opened almost every pot with an all-in raise. I doubled through him twice in a row. That could have been a bad case of tilt or something else, but I wouldn't give him all that much credit here.

You should be shot if you folded this one nott0m. I've settled LOTS of these tough decisions lately when I've prophecy'd their names during a big hand only to find out I was way ahead the whole time against an idiot. If this was up against a solid player I'd most likely fold this but against this guy, I'll not think twice if I lose somehow.

BTW, why 22?

I folded.

He ended up being all-in 3 of the next 4 hands and wasn't around any longer to make it 4 for 5.

I regretted it, but he really did play it almost exactly like AA or KK (or TT in this case) and even bad players get those occasionally. On the upside, I won the SNG anyway so maybe it was the right call.

As for why I am playing 22s ... losing 3/4 of your bankroll in 5 days can do that.

I have a new rule I've been implementing lately.. if you're unsure about an early level 1 hand and the opponent is an idiot (or close), I'll make some pretty borderline calls if I really think I'm ahead. (stuff like TPGK with heavy action against them, some other things). I've been folding way too many early winners lately where I'm over-analyzing actions/bet sizes/etc.

Sorry to hear about the loss at the 55's lately. You'll surely get it all back. I hope it was all due to variance though, right? Did you notice anything that's been changing with the games?

I'm sure I can find plenty of flaws in my play if I went digging, but it sure felt like there were a lot more suckouts at bad times than normal.

*raises a beer*

I'm feelin' that. I lost about half of my bankroll this weekend by losing time after time as a favorite.

I usually don't fold early in these things ($11-33s) with hands like this, however this could be an exception. The chance you are losing here is very high IMO.
