BB per 100 win rate? There is just no way this can be sustainable…
Long story short the site I play on keeps track of your stats, including big bets won per hand. Over the past 4,000 hands mine has been .12 (12BB/100). Over the previous ~5,000 was .11 (11BB/100), and the ~2,500 before that was .8 (8BB/100). (I reset it periodically because the software starts to bog after a while, I also have more hands I won $$ over the course of but no stats for.) Most of this has been at $1/$2 but I have recently played in some $2/$4 and $4/$8 games that were too good to pass up.
When evaluating my own play see many instances where I lost more than I should have and failed to win what I should have due to inexperience and lack of discipline. I really need to reread TOP and 7CSFAP. Let me be the first to say: This should be totally unsustainable and my sample size is squat. I am patiently waiting for my big comeuppance; but then again the skill level is much lower than Hold'em, I have more information on what everyone has, and two extra streets to get paid so maybe… In any event, what is a reasonable win rate? |

Out of curiosity what site do you play on? I wish party had this feature.

From the context of his post, I would assume he is talking about PokerRoom. PR is my home site and they have the same limits he is talking about(specifically 4-8) and the same type of tracking software where they track you earn rate in BBs per hand.

No idea. Sorry bud...I only play stud8 and I havent even played enough of that to know what a reasonable win rate would be. Your sample size isnt THAT small though.
EDIT : I saw you played like 5000,4000, and 2500 hands right? Its true you might be running really well but I would guess you can at least make 5BB/100 over the long long run. Those 1-2 games are pretty terrible...I mean really terrible! lol. I play every now and again when I am bored but not to much. GL at the tables... |

I've been experiencing similar success with Pokerroom 2/4 and 4/8 - about 0.1BB/hand. What's your screen name?

Re: RWhat\'s the ante on 2/4 and 4/8 on Pokerroom?
2/4 is 0.25 ante with 1 bring in. 4/8 is twice that.

Re: BB per 100 win rate? There is just no way this can be sustainable…
Hi All,
I've only recently been keeping track of my BB/100 for the last month, so this might not be helpful. Since I started playing £20/£40 (with a £3 rake, £1 ante, £10 bring in), and after 7,400 hands I am making 1.4 BB/100...I am not sure how accurate this is, since a 50 BB swing in a session can still alter my win rate by .5BB/100. I still think that my actually win rate could be anywhere from .5-3 BB/100. I think I would want about 50,000 hands to feel confident within .1BB/100 of my win rate. I'd be interested to hear how mnay people actually keep track of this info, especially for the tightly structured games of $5/$10 and up. I know that when I played on Party Poker it was a real pain to keep track of this info, so I eventually gave it up and started keeping track of BB/hr. Regards, Carlos |
