Party 7-card MTT (Tuesday)
I was playing in the 7-card stud tourney Tuesday afternoon and the tournament was paused along with many other MTT around 7:00 est. Approx. 40 minutes later the tournament started back up. Before the pause there were 20 people left, top 16 got paid, and I was 15th in chips with about 3000. 3 very short stacks proceeded to get knocked out, so I was in the money. Payout structure was such that 16-9th all got $48 so I decided it was time to go big or go home. I was dealt K Q 10 two diamonds. 4th street was an ace, and 5th I hit my jack for a straight. I'm now up to about 10,000 chips. The tournament paused again, but 10 minutes later a prompt comes up saying the tournament is cancelled. Needless to say I was bummed until I found out Party's ruling on the payout.
Tournament id: 305799 Name: Multi-Table Buy-In/Entry Fee: $20.00 / $2.00 Total Players to start: 160 Players at the time of cancellation: 13 Level at the time of cancellation: 11 Limit: 800.00 / 1,600.00 Total Chips in play: 160000 Total Buy-in collected = $3,200.00 Prize Money already given = $144.00 Total prize pool = $3,200.00 - $144.00 = $3,056.00 Minimum prize pool award = $48.00 * 13 = $624.00 Prize pool to be divided equally = ($3,056.00 - $624.00) / 2 = $1,216.00 Prize pool to be divided based on chip count = ($3,056.00 - $624.00) / 2 = $1,216.00 Entry Fee to be refunded = $26.00 When the tournament was called off, you were seated at 'Table 993569' and you had 10444 tournament chips. Your share of the minimum prize pool award = $48.00 Your share in money equally divided = $1,216.00/13 = $93.54 Your share based on your chip count = $1,216.00 * (10444/160000) = $79.37 Your entry fee refunded = $2.00 Total money refunded = $222.91 I thought this was very fair, any comments? |
