Default GT+ verses Playerview

Which is better? I use GT+ and I am very familiar with it. Are they both basically the same thing? Does Playerview cost anything? Thanks.

I used GT+ at first then discovered PV, I like it better, its more customizable, and cleaner looking for me. I found GT+ to drag my system more and thus liked PV better. I also liked the feature that PV automatically looks for open games, where GT+ you must manually select the game, when you have 8 ganes going its often time consuming to open the window and select the game, etc. On the PV forums, he did claim that in the near future he will probably charge for the software. Also, PV has a date expire on it so you cant run an old version, it wont let you.

This is the main reason I use PV over GT+.

With GT+ is there any way to pick a table as soon as you sit down? It looks to me like you can only add a tracker if the session is recorded in PT and that doesn't happen until a hand has been imported. Honestly, the effort of right-clicking on GT+ (it's good to keep it minimized in the taskbar) and picking "add tracker" and then clicking OK (since the newest one will be on top of the list) is minimal. However, needing to wait until the session has been created is a pain, especially since it doesn't let me stats on the table before I'm dealt in like PV. Any way around this in GT+?

How often does it expire, do you have to constantly be downloading every time it expires?

Correct, and you can't get around it.

If you've been running PT on the table for a while but haven't been dealt in yet and want stats on the table select a different player at the table in the add tracker dropdown. This will let you get stats for the table before you've played any hands at it.

Interesting. I'll look at that next time I play. I didn't remember that the add tracker dialog let you pick a player.
