Default AK hand for review

First orbit, read so far is villian has been in every hand played and appears very aggressive preflop, limp reraised me once when I had fishooks and flopped a boat, he called my flop bet and folded the turn. SO postflop is still a bit of a mystery. Let's see how I did.

I would check with the intention of raising a MP bet. If bet and raised to me I fold. If checked through I lead. Every time I've seen a limp re-raise in the last month it has been pocket A's, but you obviously don't feel that convinced having seen this out of MP before.

said that pretty much the way I would have played it.

Personally, given the size of the pot, I really don't want to fold and my A's and/or K's may very well be good. At the same time, I don't want to put in two bets on the flop if I don't have to, and given your description of the primary villain, I think it's too likely that he'll raise you if you bet. I'd probably check and see what happens, with the intention of definitely calling one bet. I'm not sure how I'd handle being faced with two cold; I'd have odds to go after the backdoor straight and discounted overcards, but....

Turn: (10.50 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG+2 checks, MP1 bets, Hero calls, UTG+2 folds.

River: (12.50 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 14.50 BB

After mulling it over for a sec I decided to bet and call one back to me. I was somewhat lost on the flop, if MP hadnt LRR me, I would have definitely bet this flop, with just the backdoor straight draw, I was probably better off checking and calling one back.

Well the turn brought me a gutshot straight draw, pot is laying 11:1, so I call.

River was a little odd, does anyone raise this or is a call appropriate?

I'm not sure I love the flop bet, but the rest I like. If this guy is a real postflop maniac you might be able to bet the river, but I didn't gather that from your post.

The flop and the river are the two areas where I was a little lost and had to think for a couple seconds before my action. He didnt seem to crazy postflop in my little experience, it was the preflop play which was odd. So I decided to check call.

`grunching`
bet the flop, call a raise with the intention of folding on the turn if UI. If villain calls the flop bet, bet the turn no matter what card falls, with the intention of calling if you are raised. Try to get a showdown as cheap as possible if UI.

EDIT: Disregard my response, I thought it was heads-up...
