A friend of mine was having a single table tourney at his house. Suprisingly, I'm not upset about the hand I'm going to tell you about, but I'd like some feedback about the call that I made.
Level Three (blinds are 25/50) Villan is UTG & Hero is one off the button with AsAc villan raised one bet and there were three callers before me and I raised it three more bets. The Villan called, and everyone else folded. The flop came 2/3/5 (all spades) giving me a top pair and nut flush draw, Villan go's all-in and hero calls, also going all in. Villan turns over A4 suited for a straight, and my flush never comes. Should I have folded to his bet, or did I make the right call? |

You should've folded because he had a straight and you couldn't beat that.

Thanks, but I didn't know he had a straight until we went all-in and he showed me his cards, and I was drawing to the nuts. If anyone thinks this was a good/bad call, I'd like to know what they would have done and why.

don't mind that guy.
i don't play NL but i think you have to call here. you have an overpair with a gutshot straight draw AND the nut flush draw, hell you have a straight flush draw. easy call i think |

Thanks, I thought it was a good call too. But I'm still pretty new to poker and wanted to double check with the 2+2 experts. I'll keep studying and posting hands.
