How to get a roomate to pay up?

Just looking for a little advice from anyone that's ever had a bum roomate. This is someone I did not know before we moved in together. I live above a chiropractic office in a VERY nice apartment, and did not want to move when my old roomate got married. The chiropractor helped me find a roomate that was / is a patient of his that is a college student in town. The first 4 or 5 months went fine, but I haven't seen a penny for her half of the bills the last 3 months. She has some sob story about things being tough, she's had to drop out of school, blah blah blah, but she never comes through on ANYTHING she says. She's a slut (has brought a ton of guys to our place) and probably drinks away all of her money. I am NOT responsible for her rent, as we have separate leases, but I do pay all the bills and she is supposed to pay me back half. Her tally is at $350 right now, and will be $550 by the time she moves out.

What are my options here guys?

This is the clear first choice, ahead of any and every other possibility.

The nice thing is, since you didn't know here and don't have to be her friend, if you've got any resemblance of proof of your "half and half" agreement, you could sue her ass and win. But then, that's only if pimping her out doesn't work. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

Stick a fake beard on her while she's asleep, call the FBI and inform them you've found Osama bin Laden sleeping in your spare room. Collect the US$25mn reward, stick it in the bank, and when in four years time when they realise she may be telling the truth about not being OBL, explain you made an honest mistake and return the money, but keep the interest it has accrued. At current US interest rates, you should have just about enough to cover her unpaid share of the bills.
