Default mood swings from playing

I tend to let my playing (poor or good) affect my mood quite a bit, to the point where I'll get grumbly for several days if I have a bad session and I'll be high as a kite when things go my way.

any suggestions for developing a more even keeled approch?

Realize that your short term results come from luck and not skill. When you had a good session you got lucky. When you have a bad session you were unlucky. Get your emotions in line with this knowledge and you should stay more calm.

When you are up 500BB in 6 months you can be pleased with yourself.

make it emotionally devasting to deviate from the correct play regardless of the results. At least then your negative emotions will have a positive impact on your results.

any suggestions on how?? I'm trying to develop these habits and characteristics to be sucessful.. (not just in poker)

Overall I'm a decent, winning player over 35k PT hands. So I know what needs to be done. What I'm trying to work on is the feelings that the *results* give me and how not to let it bug me

Books ideas?
