Default How many SNG\'s to have a good idea about your ROI

What is a comfortable sample size to get a good idea about your ROI on the party 200+15 SNG's?

Thanks in advance.

This is too few.

Go for ~5000.

Or have (pay) a good 215er to look over HHs and tell you waht they think...

You will have a "good idea" after 1000. You will have narrowed it down ever more after 5000.

Given fixed game conditions:

After 500 games, you have at best a 50% chance of being within +/-5% of your long-term ROI.

After 1000 games, you have at best a 2/3 chance of being within +/-5% of your long-term ROI.

After 3000 games, you have at best a 90% chance of being within +/-5% of your long-term ROI.

What further makes analysis harder is that ones game usually is evolving. My last 300 SnG have both a better ROI and (much more importantly) significantly better play from me, than the 300 before them and the 300 before them etc.

I should add that I don't find ROI and ITM is all that interesting. My bankroll tells me what I need to know about how effective my game is. People who check their ROI daily seem a bit neurotic to me.

Yeah, of course....but 1000 is still too few IMO to really know what your ROI is with all that much accuracy...

These are all reasons why one's ROI is much less meaningful than many think....your game is constantly changing, you needs thousands to STTs to have your stats reflect it with my accuracy, and all the while your looking at it trying to get it higher or lower...

You will lead a better life if you never ask and never wonder what ROI is ever again, trust me.
