There is no place for it in high stakes NL poker.

As someone with connection difficulties, who has still never used my original two disconnect protects from UB, I wholeheartedly agree.

Having Party support strip them of disconnects is lame if you also don't get a refund on the 400 they would have called.

ive said it before, but i like it in a very minimal and highly enforced way

if youve ever been on the other end and lost a lot of money because your internet went down on a site without protection sucks worse than having someone disconnect on you

This is mostly wrong. In one case someone is willfully cheating. In the other case it's someone's own fault for not getting a better service/computer when bigger money is on the line.

Sometimes the situation will be out of the users control. Like a power cut. Or a really reliable network goes down.

have you ever had the DNS servers go down for your entire region with a $1k+ pot in the middle and only a $300 bet left to call with the 95% sure best hand

Maybe it's a small sacrifice we have to make in order to play from our own living rooms? If it's killing your winnings that much, play solely B&M

If anyone has had connection problems, they know it helps a lot. But, people are now abusing the program. I agree, it needs the boot.
