Re: 1/2 KK
So if you aren't afraid of the ace on the flop, and you aren't afraid that he has AA, why not just push PF?
I don't like it because what do you do on the turn if he just calls. You are inflating a pot with a lone pair after being re-raised PF and the only scare card came on the flop. That is a combo of a lot of uncomfortable things for me. -Trail |

Re: 1/2 KK
I dont like 3-betting KK preflop in NL, you will usually have action only by AA, and if I just call I will get a lot more action from QQ and JJ later. On the flop I just didnt want to be bluff by QQ or JJ so I decided to bet out and concede the hand if Im called. If he have QQ or JJ he will have a hard time to call me. I could be wrong, thats why Im posting it.

Re: 1/2 KK
I understand your problems with the PF 3-bet, but now you are out of position with very little clue what your opponent holds. How about a 3-bet to 60 PF? That will result in a push from AA, to which you can safely fold, a fold from lots of other hands like AK-AJs, and a call from other non-AA premium pairs. This might clear up his holdings, while giving you some serious initiative. Though any call PF from a re-raise is suspect, since he could call with AA and let you bet into him. That being conceded, I still like a 3-bet PF here.

Re: 1/2 KK
Ciaffone say something about not 3-betting KK with 100 bb stacks in his book p.16. Maybe against bad players its better to three bet it ?
