I have a neteller check for a little over $9k drawn on Harris Bank in Chicago.
Anyone know if I'll have to fill out any paperwork for an abnormally large cash transaction if I cash this check? I know that it used to be $10k that triggered the paperwork, but that was pre 9/11. |

Making a bunch of $9k deposits is suspicious too and I believe some banks will monitor this.
I made my deposit broken up in chunks of $3-5k. |

Tbe bank most report a 10K transaction. They can report anything they want to. They can file out the paper work for a $10 check if they feel like it.
Unless you are trying to avoid taxes or do something else with the money----why try to hide it? SFWUSC |

I believe the 10K is a cash transaction--a check is not the same.
