Cap the turn and lead out the River. There's no reason to see a FH yet.

I agree with the turn call of the 3-bet, but is there a reason you didn't reraise the river? Were you counting on the button to do it for you? Or were you scared of a full house? I definitely think you should raise the river, because at this point it seems that both the button and the sb will see the showdown no matter what, and the sb might even cap it for you, trapping the button for another bet if he decides to call the raise/reraise, which he is likely to do.

I'm torn on this statement. Anybody who hit their set on the flop would have raised you, yet all the action on the turn senses a FH. I'd put one of them on trip 8 and one on a FH (who slowplayed their set). I think I would play it the same.

Cap the turn. Bet the river. You have a monster.

sorry i have no reads... im just a multi-tabling ABC player

yea the turn really confused me. Like ak13 said, the flop seemed safe, but the turn seemed like a boat. I got scared and called down like a tight passive piece of @#$% hoping to see lone 8's.

I would cap the turn here. If you are going to call anyway, might as well be the aggressor. I think you have the best hand here, some fish with A8 is probably going crazy with his trips, and I would make him pay. They don't know you flopped a str8. (thanks Ed) I would certainly bet/call that river if it is not 3 more back to you.

i think you will see a lone 8 and an overpair way more often here than a full house. i also cap the turn and lead the river.
