Only home games. Tons in all the major cities. Your best bet for casino poker is the new rooms in Oklahoma or the ones in Louisiana.

Shreveport is within 3 hours of Dallas..
2 casinos there that have live poker -
hollywood casino, and the horseshoe (brand room)

both rooms are nice..

should be live games in the dallas area though,
you might have to poke around to find them though..

I echo the previous comment - not legal ones. The home game action is very prevalent in DFW. Lots and lots of tournaments. Many underground card rooms.

There are no legal card rooms in Texas. I recommend you write another post to the effect of "I have never played live poker before. Does anyone know of a private club or home game that would let someone new give it a try?" Leave some way for people to contact you.

I suspect you'll get a response or twenty.

Great advice.

Yeah, I thought this might wind up being a bust since no one really wants to stick their neck out with an underground room on a public forum. I'll give this idea a try in the near future. Thanks.
