Default Interesting AK

A couple hands after joining this table, this happens. No real reads on either opponent. Is this an insta-call? Also, how is my preflop and flop play?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (6 max, 6 handed) converter

SB ($54.65)
Hero ($79.5)
UTG ($79.45)
MP ($92.75)
CO ($158.7)
Button ($46.6)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.5.
UTG raises to $2, 1 fold, CO calls $2, Button calls $2, 1 fold, Hero raises to $7, UTG calls $6, CO calls $6, Button folds.

Turn: ($318.06) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)

River: ($318.06) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)

Results in white below:
Hero has Kc Ad (two pair, aces and kings).
UTG has Js Ac (one pair, aces).

you have to raise that more pre-flop. make it at least $10...

yes, with your stack it's pretty much an insta-call...

I don't think it neccessarily screws with responses that bad. If the results are in white, it's easy not to look 'til you've thought about the hand.

Raise more preflop, especially since you're out of position. I bump it to 12 here. On the flop, if you had raised it to 12, it's an easy push. The way you played it, you have to bet out with a monotone flop, so that's fine, and you definitely have to call the push, since you have boat outs if you're behind a flush, and your stack is way too small to worry about 99.

I think you played it well on the flop considering your preflop action, but I'm not reraising AK in the SB in this game. You don't want to play a hand like that out of position and you're likely to get at least one, probably two callers. Keep pots small with AK because you're likely to be playing pots with only one pair and you don't want those to be huge. Especially OOP. Postflop is good.

Is this true? Should you try to keep the pot small with AK? Does anyone else agree? I'm new to no-limit so i need to get the concepts right.
