Calling a raise with KJo when i posted behind
my big question is if i should have bet the river.

I'd 3-bet preflop since I had posted and it's still only a 3-way pot.

Being faced with calling 2 cold will frequently knock out the blinds and give you a better shot at winning the pot when both you and the raiser miss. The extra money in the pot will subsidize this play. With your posted blind, the raiser's money, and the two blinds, you're getting better than 2:1 to throw in an extra two bets and take the lead.
