Does the intentional pause + Value bet add EV?
Cmon guys, we have all done it - the old "I have a monster here on the river and I really want a caller so I'll take a 5 second pause to make him think I am contemplating a buy which will in turn improve my chances of getting called by a marginal hand."
We all do it, but do you think it actually has any worth? This refers to Online play only, by the way.

Sure, the fish always get hooked by the pause raise. Sometimes they'll reraise with a marginal hand, and in hilarious circumstances CAP when you pause 3 bet.
I never thought a Pause 3 bet would work, but I was wrong.

This is an obvious fish move, the fiush use it ALL the time, so i don't. I use it against good players when Im bluffing tho...and it seems to be working well

Slowroll even once against me and I will kill ya. Honestly nothing makes me more tilted in online poker then slowrolling mother fucker fishes who think it actually matters how much time they use.

I actually get much more pissed by the guys who hit the "bet" button so damn fast it's unreal - like it's gonna win them more money or something.
I just pause for the full 19 seconds to piss them off [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]
