1st time trip to Blue Chip (Indiana) advice?
I spoke a little about this in someone else's thread a week or so ago, but its official. Im headed to the B&M for the first time.
Headed to Blue Chip Casino in Indiana Next Tuesday (5th I think). I will be getting there around 10-11. Planning on playing 3/6 limit holdem. Never played Holdem in a B&M. Been doing very well online though. I only play .5/1 or 1/2 online. I decided to play some 2/4 at party to get used to some of the larger pots. I got destroyed and lost $600 playing only 850 or so hands. I lost some tough hands where i hit a set and had full houses to be beat by someone hitting larger sets. Happened a couple of times. I accept that is part of poker - you lose some tough ones. However it worried me that I would lose that much so fast, because I know I am a decent player. I know 850 hands isn't enough to tell much, but it got my confidence down - because I usually do pretty well. Should I be concerned? What do I need to know about B&M? Any words of advice or anything i should know about Blue Chip? Do i need to call ahead for the waiting list at this time on a tues? Thanks for any advice or ideas concerning Blue Chip. |

Re: 1st time trip to Blue Chip (Indiana) advice?
Well, my biggest piece of advice would be to learn how to play blackjack b/c Blue Chip doesn't have a poker room. They used to, but not any more.
If you live in or near Indiana, try Harrah's or Trump in Lake County. |
