Would Anyone Be Interested In This?
an OIC (open internet challenge). you start at .5/1 and move up everytime you win 50 bets. if you lose 25 you move down (though I'm changing the rules to where you don't have to move down until you end up below your starting point).
I've been bored with the game lately and recently went through a 350 bb downswing in under 10,000 hands and lost/spent 70% of my roll in the process. I haven't been playing much lately and I'm sure a lot of it is that I'm sick of losing and scared of losing more. so I think this will be fun. I'll post some hands along the way that I think are interesting. maybe I'll make a post with some hands for each level, and some screenshots of stats. I'm interested in how loose I'd be at this point (I suspect at .5/1 I'd be somewhere around 23/14). I don't really like to play online but I like to post advice, and I think I'd be better suited to dispense advice if I had played the games recently. and as I said above, I want to see what my stats look like. it'll also help me get better at 6-tabling. I tried to 7-table 15/30, including headsup and shorthanded play, which I think helped lead to my demise. I encourage anyone who's going to do this to try playing more tables than usual. for all of you, it'll be nice to take a shot at a game you haven't play at yet. it's all money from scratch, so you can see what you can do. GoT did this a couple of years ago when he was at 5/10. he ran hot and got up to 15/30, and never looked back. I'm looking for people to "compete" or pretty much just keep tabs with. let me know if you're interested. I plan to start Wednesday night, but feel free to get a head start if interested. there will be no set end. so here is an estimate of how many hands/hours it will take if you run at a certain rate Code:

hours at this rate 6-tabling hands/hr 1 bb/100 2 bb/100 3 bb/100 4 bb/100 .5/1 380 13.16 6.58 4.39 3.29 1/2 (6m) 550 9.09 4.55 3.03 2.27 2/4 380 13.16 6.58 4.39 3.29 3/6 390 12.82 6.41 4.27 3.21 5/10 (6m) 600 8.33 4.17 2.78 2.08 10/20(6m) 600 8.33 4.17 2.78 2.08 SUM 64.89 32.45 21.63 16.22 HANDS 30000 15000 10000 7500

|

Re: Would Anyone Be Interested In This?
I would do it, but I won't be back from Vegas to give it a shot for a week.

Re: Would Anyone Be Interested In This?
I think this could be fun... I may just play like this when I feel the whimsy, I only have $88 in my party account, so keeping track should be simple enough. (And yes, you'll likely be between 21-25% at .5/1, so much limping going on that it's correct to limp with many speculative holdings, even oop)
So... $0-50 @ .5/1 - 5bb/100 - 1000 hands $50-150 @ 1/2 - 3bb/100 - 1667 hands $150-350 @ 2/4 - 3bb/100 - 1667 hands $350-650 @ 3/6 - 2bb/100 - 2500 hands $650-1150 @ 5/10 - 1.5bb/100 - 3333 hands $1150-2650 @ 15/30 - 1bb/100 - 5000 hands Total -- 15167 on average, i'd say that's well on the side of conservative, though. I think I could do it in 22,500 total hands. Nice. -d |

I want to check out the games at the MGM, and it depends on what the g/f wants to play (or if she wants to play), so I might end up playing some $100NL or whatever while getting free drinks.
