Default Re: David\'s TV comment....Who\' are the other 4 contenders please?

On "SuperStars 3" David Sklansky made the (IMO accurate) comment that if more type games were played (rather than NL holdem), he, David, believed he would be among the top five all around players.

I would like to know who the other four might be.

Having watched, read all of his works and played with David since the 70's, I feel he HAS been one of the best All Around players that perhaps ever lived. I only wish someone would put a "fair" (intelligent structure) round robin match on the tube to in fact see who may very _well_ be the World's Best Poker Player (not best NL tourney player). Let's find out.

Who, please David would you consider contenders? I would begin with Chip Reese, perhaps Barry Greenstein...

All comments welcome.

Just guessing..

Chip Reese, Barry Greenstein, Chris Ferguson, and Phil Ivey would be the other 4.

Chip Reese is better than Chris Ferguson. Most people agree Chip Reese is the best all around player ever.

i was obviously using sarcasm to show that chris ferguson is clearly no where near as talented as those other players.

Chip, Barry, and Phil probably three.

The 4th is probably a toss-up between Phil Hellmuth and Chris Moneymaker. The two greatest world champions of all time.

Or maybe Negreanu or Ferguson.
