Default Tips for new books to read

I have read (and still read) the classics, but since I love reading and thinking about the game, I'm looking for new books for my little library. The poker literature I have bought so far is:

2+2:
<ul type="square"> [*]The Theory of Poker[*]Hold'em Poker[*]Hold'em Poker for Advanced Players [*]Small Stakes Hold'em[*]Tournament Poker for Advanced Players[*]Harrington on Hold'em[*]The Psychology of Poker[*]Gambling Theory and Other Topics
Other:
<ul type="square">[*]Winning Low Limit Hold'em[*]Pot-Limit and No-Limit Poker[*]Middle Limit Holdem Poker[*]Caro's Book of Poker Tells[*]Championship No-Limit and Pot-Limit Hold'em[*]Super System (1 &amp; 2)
plus a couple of books I won't mention here.

Any suggestions for other good poker books? (I'm also fond of reading gambling-related material in general).

I am about to start "Improve Your Poker" by Bob Ciaffone. I hear this book is great. Any opinions on this book?

i enjoyed it. it is composed of a series of articles covering many aspects of poker and several variations. most interesting to me were the Omaha sections, as I have not read much on this subject. overall it is written in an easy-going style with decent insight. IMO don't buy it as one of your first 5-7 poker books, but once you have the top notch books then it is well worth it.

Yes, very good book - especially if your on tilt or suffering a downswing. Also will help you rethink and reevaluate your own play.

Sounds like a book I would enjoy. Especially since I've just fought my way through a 250 BB losing streak.

This might be off the topic since all of your books are instructional, but your list is already really solid so I thought I'd offer up some non-fiction choices.

The Biggest Game in Town, by A. Alvarez

Generally regarded as the best written poker book of all time.

I also very much want to read Big Deal by Anthony Holden, but have as yet been unable to obtain a copy.

One more...

Positively Fifth Street by James McManus

I must offer a disenting opinion regarding this book. I found it to be so totally boring that the appeal was limited to the historical value. It was written in a time when the world of poker was still dark and mysterious; however today things have changed. In the past this book might have been some kind of eye-opener but now it will just put you to sleep. The only thing it has to offer is that it was written at a time when many of the old legends of today were in their prime. I had high hopes for this book but was quite dissapointed in the utter lack of, well, anything interesting.

Cheers,
the Real Macoy
