Default generic bluechip sets?

are there any other readily available blue chip chips (preferrably with edgespots) other than JB, turf club, fan of cards and viva las vegas?

I love the turf club design, simple classic las vegas with the pioneer club guys "cousin" lol, they even have the different inlay shapes. but i hate the fact that there are no edgespotS!!

if there was a set of these with edgespots i would be all over them.

in any case, any other "generic" bluechip sets i'm not aware of?

I like the Grand Island BCs that MSPatton has for sale. Nice textured inlays. Really not bad for BCs.

Can't find it right now but someone recently posted a link to a (possibly disreputable) retailer that had BlueChip chips with no inlays at all. They also said that you could just order them from BC directly without inlays.

www.casinocom.com

I emailed them last Monday about the blank edgespot chips and he said their website is giving them problems but they should have an updated inventory by last Friday. Right now their page info says the website was last modified on Monday, January 10, 2005 1:31:13 AM. I will email him again tomorrow and ask if he still has any of these chips left.

hmmm
these guys are in vegas. I wonder if i could just run over there and pick up a bunch, pay cash get a discount

I do like those grand island ones but damn! 1.25/chip?

I have been getting the urge to do a custom BC order again...if i recall correctly they are about .75/chip plus an art fee that could range from around 100-500 depending.

even on the high end of art price if i bought 1k chips that would run me 1.25/chip and i could get whatever design i wanted.

(granted i'd have to wait and i know people are skeptical about BC due to italianstangs order, but i figure living in vegas and possibly dealin with them in person may offer an advantage, also I am very patient and don't mind waiting)

but maybe I'll just settle for blank BC's if they can be easily had for a good deal.

This guy (dfleming) seems to have lots of chips including the BC "Las Vegas Invitational" and "Grand Island" sets.

Most of the 300-500 sets go for around a buck apiece (thought a few have been higher and some lower), and smaller quantities to fill in go for higher per chip.

I called dave endy today and asked about blank chips and he said they are no longer selling them anymore and I asked about any online retailers that have them available and he said whatevers out there is out there, but we are no longer doing that.

After talking with him a while about the BC custom order process I think I am going to do my own custom order with them. I should probably keep a log of events like italianstang so they can have a second chance and something to compare to incase his order was an isolated event.

In any case I'll probably be asking for opinions on design ideas and denom opinions etc too.

Just thought I'd update you on the blank chip status though.
