Default 5/10 AJs

Full Tilt, 7 handed...

I just joined the game an orbit ago.
This generally isn't a standard line for me, but its what I ended up doing this hand...
I limp UTG+1 with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Folded to the button, who limps, SB folds, BB takes the flop.

A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

BB checks, I check, button bets out pot of 35, BB folds, I call.

Turn is a 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I check, button bets pot of 110 or so, I call after using a bit of time.

River is a 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I lead out for 150..

Button probably thinks im fairly tight, but not too tight, we have played a bit together...

Thoughts?

I like it, maybea little more on the river, say 200? But I think you are winning anyway...button isn't raising preflop with a stronger ace? What do you read him for, A7/A2?

I really like a bet on this flop better than a check call.

Stack sizes are relevant and would help....Generally speaking, I think a bet on this flop is a must.

You have to bet the flop.

You play different hands and different opponents so you can play different ways. There is no 'HAVE TO' in this game.

If this board was rainbow would you like a flop check/call, turn lead? or is AJ too weak for this and that should be reserved for AK/AQ?

I personally would of check-raised on the flop. But if you have some gamble in you I think it's a good play. Because of the way you played it he has to put you on a flush draw and you might even get a better hand to fold.

If he reraises, you got caught representing what he has. I've done that before.

Were you going to make that river bet regardless of what came?
