Your folding too much because you aren't counting your outs correctly and you are seeing monsters under the bed. Look for reasons why your opponents would be betting besides having the nuts. Players pump draws, try free card plays and bluffs quite frequently. Stop folding to these plays. Calling down is not a sucker play when you have a reasonable chance of dragging a pot compared to the size of the pot, especially when you are heads up. Many situations you will be in will require you to win only 10% of the time in order for calling down to be +EV.
Think about this the next time you fold... How many bets are in the pot? How much will it cost to call down? If there are 10BB's in the pot and it will cost 1BB to call down you only have to win 10% of the time. Are you 90% sure your beaten? If yes then fold but remember it is very difficult to be 90% sure of anything. |

yes but im not folding on the river heads up when i have ANYTHING reasonable more so im looking at the flop as fit or fold and maybe need to see another card giving my hand a chance to get better rather than dumping it

I'm talking about calling down from the flop on, not just the river.
