Default playing every hand... plus EV!

Last night I thought I'd try a little experiment - limping with every hand! Basically I wanted to work on playing in marginal situations and looking at playing situations instead of cards. Playing about 3 hours at .25/.5 I ended up about $3 ahead but more importantly I think I learned a great deal. Next I think I will try playing without looking at my cards at all!

Last night I tried FOLDING every hand. You think laying down kings is tough, try aces.

I've done this before, and usually do this all the time lol... I play a ton of hands preflop... I think that is the biggest leak i my game, and why i only come out a very small amount on a winning session...

In my regular live game (2/5 $300 max NL) I will often limp with any 2 cards when a)there's a lot of players already in the pot or b)the fewer players in the pot have deep stacks.

Over the past weekend I played easily 50% of my hands, probably closer to 75%. The table was extremely loose passive, and even when it was raised there was always action from the deep stacks. I don't think it increased my win percentage significantly (although I did have many more opportunities to steal pots this way), but the with few pots where I flopped a monster that nobody could put me on, I made a small fortune.
