Default MicroGaming Regkey

Just ran AdAware for the first time in a few weeks and it seems i have a microgaming regkey installed. I have lots of casinos/poker rooms installed so im not sure who the culprit might be. Anyone have any info about this? I think there may have been a post about this but i cant seem to find anything. Thanks in advance.

I dont think its one of the gambling federation casinos. Do any of those casinos use microgaming software?

When I ran ad-aware it showed the same thing. The registry key pointed to The Gaming Club. This is most likely "culprit." Either way, ad-aware considers it a low risk.

do NOT remove it. you will have headaches galore.

it is completely non-malicous and no microgaming clients will work properly without it. this is a do not touch registry key.

Delete it and you'll have to enter your account number and password everytime you go to a microgaming or prima site.

Real pain. It's not malicious or harmful, so just keep it. It shouldn't be labeled malware by Ad-aware.

Has this been covered here before? How do we know its not malicious? I believe you but am just wondering how one would know its benign?

thanks

it has been covered. here by gaming club a couple of times, and at meister, microgaming has answered it 300 times.

gaming club has given the exact terms i guess you are looking for that will explain the purpose of it. hopefully they will post it for you.

i don't know how else to convince you without searching for his posts and for that, i am too lazy. probably archived anyway. i can tell you that i play micro casinos 2-5x per week and this registry key can't be removed.

jeez, the old days they listened to me!

Yeah, I got rid of it with adaware, and promptly had to request my user names nd passwords for microgaming casinos.

I think it's marked because there is no uninstall (some message like that comes up in the details with adaware)
