Default Are the rakes to high in live $3-6 hold\'em games.

Hi, I was wondering about the subject, of rakes, in the $3-6 hold'em game, as far as,in live cardrooms are concerned. I read books, and articles, where a pro say's that this is still, to low of a limit, to play, in a Real World (as opposed to Internet) game, and still win profitably, in the long run. The case being that the rake is still too high, however I hear of people winning, at this pay level, in casinos, all the time. Is this just a short term thing, or can I, playing solid poker, still come out ahead over the long-haul?

Welcome to the forums.

Please do not use all caps in the subject line.

3/6 live is certainly beatable even with an atrocious rake (say...$4 per hand + $1 jackpot + $1 toke), but unless your cost of living is extraordinarily low, you won't be able to live off of your success.
