i would call down as well. if you want to raise the turn, you need to be able to fold to a 3-bet.

I'm pretty sure he didn't hit a flush. Most people don't know enough to raise a flop with a strong draw like a four-flush, and assuming he has second pair or better, then he must have a non-spade in his hand. I would call down expecting to see either AQ, QJ, or KQ most of the time.

Yes -- call it down. He could have a set, but he could also have AQ or AJ or possibly even KK. I think the flop 3 bet makes the flush less likely.

I wouldn't raise the turn as he could well have JJ or QQ.

I'm thinking about raising the river with the 3's pairing. No cap on pre flop says no QQ, maybe JJ, but I think it's two pair more than enough to make it profitable.

The flop cap turn lead put me into check call mode. I think you played this well. I would have the river raise thought, but not go through with it.

Isn't it possible the villain would play KK or AQ the same way?

I'm certainly getting to showdown here, and I think you could raise the turn, and call-down a 3-bet IMO.
