Default J4 river play

no reads so just assume generic party 2/4 players

party 2/4

L1, L2, L3, i donk on the button with J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] sb calls. bb raies. we all call. 6 to the flop for 12 small ones.

flop: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

sb checks. bb bets. L1 folds. L2 calls. L3 folds. I raise. bb calls. L2 calls. 3 to the turn for 9 big ones.

turn: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
bb bets. L2 calls. I raise. bb calls. L2 calls. 3 to the river for 15 big ones.

river: Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

bb bets river. L2 calls. I raise.

Oh, no?

CDC, I love that your posts always seem to be titled K7o..... or J4..... or whatever.

I don't understand the river raise. No Q is folding. No 4 is folding. You beat neither. You beat about anything else. You're very likely against a Q. I just don't see why you raised here.

edit...OK, maybe it's not that bad since he raised preflop from a blind which I missed. But I still think just calling is better.

Yeah...see my edit. I missed that he raised preflop. I think it's close, and actually a raise may be better.

I don't believe so, yet. BB raised preflop and the L2 donk almost surely does not have a Q. If CDC is 3-bet on the river, then he can worry and safely fold.

Good observation. She is Alizee, and she is fine.
