Default Banned from Borgata -- Do Trop or Taj offer poker rates?

If so, what are the play requirements / rates / procedures necessary to secure the poker rate?

And do they have loud construction going on in adjoining rooms from 7:00-9:00am, and then refuse to apologize or move you to another room, or comp you the $39 for the inconvenience, only to ban you from the property when you say you refuse to pay the $39 and will be disputing the charge with your credit card company? I know the trop does. I'm not sure what the requirements are though. Just call and ask, the girl I spoke to was very helpful (even though they didn't have any more rooms the night I was inquiring about).

rotfl, you got throw out of the best poker room in AC over $39, because you wouldn't accept a refund in comps? Sorry, I know you may not find it funny, but I hardly think it was worth it to take a stand on that.

They were not offering any sort of refund or comp, or any sort of apology, or anything to rectify the situation. On top of it the manager was extremely rude and disrespectful.

When I pay for a hotel room, I expect to be able to sleep in it. It was the equivalent of them giving me a room with no bed in it. I am perfectly happy to take my business elsewhere when an establishment treats me like [censored]. The dollar amount is not the issue.

Trop i think pays you the same hourly sort of comp rate that brogota does. I'm not too familiar with borgota's comps. But i think trop has more expensive poker rooms, they run about $59 on a regular night and like $79 on weekends.

hmmm, last time i stayed there when i checked in they told me about the construction, and then asked me how high up i wanted my room (suggesting the higher the better) - what a great night's sleep i had on the 34th floor

for a $39 room in any hotel/motel/holidaaaay iiiinnnn, i'd expect no hot water, roaches, seedy patrons, etc. - $39 at the borgata is a deal and a half, next time (theoretical next time, since youre 'banned') stay higher up - sounds like you blew your top and received an unfavorable result...whoops

I'm not sure that the result was unfavorable. It was a calculated decision. Based on how I was treated, I have absolutely no desire to return. And my principles dictate that I will not pay for services that are unsatisfactorily rendered. The actual cost of the service is irrelevant--I entered into an agreement with them to provide me with a suitable hotel room for $39, and even if that's a "good deal," when I'm not provided with a suitable hotel room I will not pay. For me, it takes a lot to consider a service unsatisfactorily rendered. A hotel room with constant loud hammering between 7:00 and 9:00am is clearly an instance, however.
