Tis What I did. Villian then checkraised me and showed me his set(77) I tend to doubt myself after getting played that badly.

Thanks,
Frogic

If I were playing well the river checkraise is an easy fold. Not that I'm often playing this well, but you really can't win.

Reraise the flop. An aggressive player who is "destroying" you will cap with many worse hands.

Obvious river check. A total blank river, and he stopped. He's either folding or raising.

Note: an expert could be 3-betting with a pair on the turn, trying to get you to fold an aggressively played ace, and then check the river. This play is advanced (and rare), and is usually followed up by a river checkfold, so when you check behind with the winning hand don't be disappointed.
