Default Hypothetical Question Regarding Underground Rooms

So I'm going home for spring break and I recall reading a post about the (now notorious I suppose) room on the Upper West Side of Manhattan that some of ya'll frequent.

I was wondering, in the event that this room gets raided, what would happen from a legal standpoint to an individual playing there? This might be a silly question, if it is I apologize. Thanks anyway.

I'm pretty sure they send you to federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison.

There was a thread earlier last month discussing this, do a seach for the BPC. I'd provide the link, but I gotta run. Sorry!

I apologize if I'm being too assertive, but could you elaborate on what you mean by "it depends"? I assumed that chips/cash were forfeit, but what I am unclear on is the common course of action taken by the authorities with respect to players. I've read on here and elsewhere about the penalties that owners/operators and dealers are subject to, but I do not think that I have read any accounts of ramifications for players. Perhaps I haven't searched thoroughly enough. Please excuse my ignorance, if you could direct me to a thread where I might find this information I would be greatly indebted to you. Thanks (again).

They take your name and address, and then they call your Mommy.

Always wondered why people wouldn't grab their cash and stuff it in their pocket the instant someone yelled out "Police!" Obviously chips are gonners, but the police probably wouldn't see you doing it, and even if they do, its confiscated anyway.
