Re: KK with unicolor flop
I don't know if I understand the c/r on the flop.
You slow played this hand on the turn, something I refuse to do nowadays, but more power to you, looks like it worked. I like the c/r on the river, though I don't know if I would have had enough confidence in them betting after I checked. I think I would have bet out here. |

Re: KK with unicolor flop
How did slowplaying the turn work? It looks to me like he had Button trapped, and Button likely would have called one more bet to see the river. Add that to the chances that CO might 3-bet with Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or something, and I think Hero lost bets here.
Going for the river CR is just awful. |

Re: KK with unicolor flop
I think it worked because if he raised here, he wouldn't have gotten any bets to respond, as the fourth [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] just fell on the board.
And then, I really don't think they would have bet on the river. But then, this is all just a guess. I say 6 of one, 1/2 doz. of the other. |

Re: KK with unicolor flop
You might be right, but I wouldn't take that chance personally.
Best case slowplay: pot is 18BB Worst case slowplay: pot is 12BB (checked through on river) Worst case fastplay: pot is 12BB (everyone folds to Hero's turn raise) Best case fastplay: pot is 18-24BB (CO and Button call Hero's turn raise and river bet for 18BB, or CO 3-bets turn and Hero caps, both CO and Button call the river for 24BB) |

Re: KK with unicolor flop
I see where you're going with this. I think a read of the table would help make a decision on which way to go a little easier.
But as I said, I've basically thrown out slowplaying. While I still keep my eye out for a slowplay situation, I don't find many. At my levels, .25/.50, there are too many chances everyone will follow the pack and just keep calling. Those are my favorite people. |

Re: KK with unicolor flop
You're right, reads would help immensely in this situation.
