Final Four of a Big Party 20+2 Multi, Two Big stacks going at it
So this hand occurred last night in the Party 20+2 NL. 1696 entered and we are down to the final four. The lineup right now is:
Seat 4: 382K, probably the tightest of my 3 opponents, has been playing pretty well from what I have seen. Seat 5: Me, sitting on 577K Seat 7: Chipleader 585K. He calls a lot. He's called my button and SB raises with regularity and often will continue on with the hand past the flop as well. He notably called a flop checkraise on a J 9 rag board with KTo. That said, he will lay a hand down if shown repeated strength from time to time. He and I have tangled a bit lately with me having to lay down a couple of hands on some gross looking boards. It's hard to say if he's been just hanging on to his draws, he doesn't like letting go with anypiece of flop, or what exactly all he's been calling with. FYI, his raises preflop have been 5+ times the BB when everybody elses are in the 2-3 X BB zone. Seat 10: Overaggressive player who is now shortstacked at 152K after doubling me up a short while ago. So, on to the hand in question, blinds 10k/20k: Seat 9 and Seat 4 both fold, and I raise to 50k with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in the SB. Seat 7 calls in the BB. Two players to the flop (pot 120k). Flop is 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I lead out for 100k, and Seat 7 calls. (pot 320k) Turn is the 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. We both now have a little over 400k left in our stacks, and I bet out again, this time for half the pot, 160k. He thinks and calls. (pot now 640k) River is the 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I go all-in for my last 256k, he has me just covered.... |

Push the turn... you have as many as 21 outs if called, but you'd prefer that he fold a K7-type hand. Plus, with 320K in the pot and 400K in your stack, it's hardly the kind of overbet that screams DRAW.

Push the turn or check the river.

He can have as many as 14 [/ QUOTE ] Oops, I thought he had the 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Still, a turn push seems viable. |
