Re: aqo played ok?
BB 3-bet pre-flop and still shows no signs of slowing down on the turn, i think calling down after being check/raised on the turn is fine.

Re: aqo played ok?
I would call the flop and turn and raise the river.
Edit - I read the action wrong, but I still don't like the flop raise. I would call the flop. Call the turn if he bets (or bet if he checks). Then raise the river if he bets (or bet if he checks.) I think you could also make a case for simply calling down, as a hand that 3-bets you pre-flop and then bets every street post-flop has a pretty good chance of having you beaten. |

I would call the flop and turn and raise the river. [/ QUOTE ] I like this line. You could be killed against AK, you could be so far ahead that you can't see him behind you. Don't slow him down if you're ahead, don't pay him off when you're behind. Call the flop and call/bet the turn, raise the river. With the river raise, I want to fold to a 3-bet, though, unless the villain is ridiculously laggy. (I can't see a 3-bet without the flush or boat here -- but i'd probably call. Then again, I suck at poker.) -d |

Re: aqo played ok?
So, you're applying the way ahead, way behind principal here.
If you raised the river, would you fold a raise?...I ask you, but I know I wouldn't. |

Re: aqo played ok?
Against an unkown player I would call a raise.
I think there's too good a chance he's off his rocker, or 3-bet me pre-flop w/ a hand like AT or A9s and thinks it's good, or maybe he has another AQ. I would call but hate it, because the only hand a sane player would play that way is AK or maybe AJ. (We don't know if this guy's sane or not, though, which is why I don't mind just calling this down, betting when checked to, from the get go.) |
