Bellagio Room Problem

On Friday, we had exactly 9 players to start our $60-$120 game with no list. About an hour later, four of the players (which consisted of 3 regulars and 1 tourist) requested that they start an $80-$160 mixed game (2-7 triple draw, holdem, and 8 or better stud). The floor person agreed to start the game, leaving our $60-$120 game with only 5 players and no list. Our game lasted about 20 minutes and then broke up since several of the players did not want to play shorthanded. I don't know how long the $80-$160 mixed game lasted.

Is this right?
