Default Like this play?

about 20 left out of 1336
Villain had put a stop and go on me a little earlier, and called and raised another steal attempt.
Enough is enough, right?

I like.

Given that you watched the SB pull the move a few times and the fact that he only bet 1/3 the pot on the flop makes me want to go over top of him too.

Was his continuation bets always that low?

Regards,
Woodguy

Yes I do like this play. They often fold in this situation. I'm not saying it's mandatory, but it's my natural instinct to move allin after the weak 12k flop bet.

Plus you have 6 outs. It'd be tougher if you didn't have overcards.

1. steal attempt – villain calls and pushes on the flop. I gave him credit for the play and the best hand –hero (QhJh) flop Ts 8h 3c – gut shot and two overs - fold
2. steal attempt – villain calls 3x and bets 2/3 pot – hero misses flop and with an ace – at best i am chasing 3 outs – fold
3. his probe bet of 1/3 pot screamed bluff – got me off 2 hands before this – bluff 90% and gigabet’s thread came to mind – if villain will only fold 2nd pair to an allin then make the play – if villain had a hand he was capable of a stop and go – if the flop hit him he would bet for value. Time to find out if i’ve got some game. Allin

I think you read the situation very well.

1. he had pocket pair, stop-n-go actually trying to protect it ?

2. hit the flop value bet it ?

3. missed or hit weak , was looking to get a fold or fold himself ?

very nice, I hope you marked this villain. Looks like he is betting the value of his holdings and you should be able to pick up on him rather quickly like you did. You can fold with Shizt, slow play a monster and push him off his weak hands.
